Accept your offer of admission by the deadline listed in your offer letter or application portal.

Register for your graduate courses in Student Center once your registration window opens.

Attend SGPS orientation and your program-specific orientation to learn about services, expectations, and supports.

First step

Accept your offer of admission

Confirm your place in your graduate program.

Log in to the SGPS application portal and accept by the deadline on your offer letter. Review any conditions attached, such as final transcripts or English language scores.

Required documents

Submit your official transcripts

Send official documents early so your registration is not delayed.

Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions are required before you can register.

Electronically: Transcripts must be sent directly from your institution’s Registrar’s Office to gradapps@uwo.ca. Applicant-forwarded transcripts are not accepted.

Activate your Western accounts

Set up the accounts you need to access Western systems.

Visit wts.uwo.ca to activate your Western Identity, @uwo.ca email, OWL, Student Center, and Two-Factor Authentication.

Registration

Register for courses

Confirm your course requirements before registering.

Log in to Student Center once your registration window opens.

Thesis-based students: Confirm your graduate thesis course code with your department.
Course-based students: Confirm your course selections with your graduate coordinator.

Welcome

Attend orientation

Meet people, learn what to expect, and get familiar with support services.

SGPS hosts a university-wide graduate orientation at the start of each term. Your department may also hold a program-specific orientation; check with your graduate coordinator for the date and location.

Student Center

Student Center is Western’s online student record system. After your Western Identity is active, you can use Student Center to manage key academic and financial tasks throughout your program.
