Clear your admission conditions
Ensure you are term-activated by clearing any outstanding admission conditions on your record before the start of term.
Register in your courses
Register for your graduate courses in Student Center once your registration window opens.
Your program will provide details on how to register for the upcoming term.
Graduate student orientation
Attend SGPS orientation and your program-specific orientation to learn about services, expectations, and supports.

Review your course outlines, confirm program requirements, and connect with your graduate coordinator if you have questions.

Check Your Admission Conditions
Ensure you are term-activated by clearing any admission conditions on your record.
Now that you have accepted your offer of admission, log in to your Student Center to review any remaining conditions listed on your record.
You must clear all admission conditions before the start of term to ensure your term activation is complete and to prevent any delays with your course registration.
Submit Your Official Documents
Send official documents early so your registration is not delayed.
Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions are required before you can register.

- Electronically: Transcripts must be sent directly from your institution's Registrar's Office to gradapps@uwo.ca. Applicant-forwarded transcripts are not accepted.
Common Questions Concerning Documents
Do you accept official e-transcripts sent via MyCreds/Parchment?
Yes. Please have your official transcript sent directly to gradapps@uwo.ca via MyCreds/Parchment.
What is the difference between an official transcript and a final official transcript?
A final official transcript is an official transcript stating all final grades and, if applicable, that the degree has been conferred. Degree conferral information is typically added to your transcript shortly after convocation, but you should consult your previous post-secondary institution if you are uncertain when you should order your transcript.
How do I submit my study permit?
Once you arrive in Canada and receive your study permit from Canada Border Services, please send a copy to Adrian Aguirre Jurado at aaguirr@uwo.ca.
How do I submit my diploma?
Please send a copy of your diploma to gradapps@uwo.ca in PDF format. You do not need to present it in person or provide a hard copy.
Activate Your Western Accounts
Set up the accounts you need to access Western systems.
Visit Western Technology Services - Getting Started for New Students to activate your Western Identity and set up access to Western online services, including your Western email, OWL, Student Center, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Register for Courses
Confirm your course requirements before registering.
Your graduate program will provide instructions on how to register for courses at the appropriate time.
Attend Orientation
Meet people, learn what to expect, and become familiar with support services.
Student Experience hosts a university-wide graduate orientation at the start of each term.
Your department may also hold a program-specific orientation. Check with your graduate coordinator for the date and location.
Admission conditions are conditions that must be met as part of accepting your offer. These conditions are included in your SGPS Offer Letter.
You can also review your admission conditions and check their status (i.e., Required or Completed) in Student Center. To do so, log in and click “Admissions” and then “Admission Conditions”.

International Students (Master’s):
Please review the tuition deposit and letter of acceptance (LOA) information provided here.
Domestic Students & International Students (Doctoral):
Your program may require a tuition deposit. If so, information about the deposit (including payment methods) will be provided in your Program Welcome Letter. If you have any questions about the deposit, please contact your program.
Student Center
Student Center is Western’s online student record system. After your Western Identity is active, you can use Student Center to manage key academic and financial tasks throughout your program.
Register for courses
Add, drop, or swap courses during your registration window.
Check tuition balance
View your account balance, tuition due dates, and payment details.
Update personal information
Review your contact information and keep your student record up to date.
Access tax forms
Find available tax documents and other student account information.
