Letter of Acceptance (LOA)
The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is a document provided by Western that is a required component of a study permit application. To access your LOA, please follow the instructions below:
Study permit requirement: Most international students require a study permit to enrol in a graduate program at Western. Check the IRCC website for the latest information.
Accept Your Offer of Admission
Before accessing your LOA, accept your offer of admission in Student Center.
Master’s Students

Pay the non-refundable* tuition deposit of $2,000 CAD.
- Review accepted payment methods on the Registrar’s website.
- Allow five to seven business days for the payment to appear in Student Financials within Student Center.

Once the deposit appears in Student Financials, download your LOA through the Graduate Student Web Services Portal.
The portal is separate from Student Center.
Doctoral Students

*Tuition deposit refunds: The deposit can only be refunded if your study permit application is denied by IRCC. To request a refund, contact International Student Services at iss@uwo.ca.
