Dina Dilinaer
Reinventing drug manufacturing with nickel and iron.
Dina Dilinaer is a PhD candidate at Western University, specializing in organometallic chemistry. She started off as a biochemistry major in her undergrad, but after taking organic chemistry, she fell in love with the subject and decided to pursue chemistry. Her PhD research revolves around using first-row transition metals to target processes used in chemical manufacturing (for example the pharmaceutical industry) and improve them by making these processes more sustainable and environmentally friendly. When she is not in the lab, Dina enjoys travelling, cooking, and poetry.
