Mindfulness for Graduate Success
Program Information
Mindfulness for Graduate Success (MGS) is a 6-week, experiential program introducing mindfulness and meditation practices to grad students. Through short lectures, guided meditations and reflective exercises, participants will develop their attention and awareness to cultivate insight and well-being.
No prior meditation or mindfulness experience is required to participate.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness has been described as paying attention, intentionally, to our moment-to-moment experience, non-judgmentally. Research shows that practicing mindfulness can reduce stress and worry, enhance focus and attention, boost feelings of contentment, and help us to respond, rather than react, to stressful situations.
